Grow Better Vegetables (Monday 26th October)

Four hour course, hosted at our farm, at Hexhamshire Organics, which focuses on how to grow better vegetables.

Based on our experience at Hexhamshire Organics the course provides details of 50 different vegetable types. For each vegetable type we detail:

·       Description of vegetable

·       Sowing, transplanting and harvesting dates

·       Approach to sowing and transplanting

·       Planting distances

·       Routing tasks

·       Recommended varieties

·       Approximate time from growing to harvesting

·       Harvesting approach and techniques

·       How to deal with common problems

The course also provides advice on how to set out your growing area to maximise yield.

We also provide guidance on how to plan out your growing year.

Each attendee leaves with a 100 page binder which provides details for the 50 vegetable types.

Course is from 1200 to 1600. Tea & Coffee on arrival.

The course is limited to 5 people per course so the best interaction is achieved and allows plenty of time for questions.
